National Medical Data Repository:
Collector Trauma
Data Pool
DI is excited to take part in initiatives that help
advance medical care practices through research. We have the knowledge and
experience to facilitate national participation from users of diverse
applications as well as to provide support for a project's on-going success.
The explosive growth of DI's Collector Trauma Registry
user base has led to the development of DI's own global repository of trauma
data - the Collector Trauma Data Pool (CTDP). For the 1,200+ Collector
facilities, the CTDP provides a FREE repository for benchmarking on a national
level among like facilities using Collector. DI customers can enjoy comparative
analysis of like facilities as well as the ability to share their data with the
American College of Surgeons (ACS).
DI is pleased to announce our recent collaborative
partnership ACS and their National Trauma Data Bank (NTDB) initiative. By
combining the scientific and medical strengths of ACS with the software
engineering and medical registry strengths of DI, this partnership provides
users many options for participation and benchmarking on a national level among
a wide variety of facilities based on a common data set. To further the NTDB
initiative, DI, in participating states where some facilities use Collector and
others use the ACS's registry software, has made allowances for supporting
interfaces from ACS registries to central site Collector. Also, data can be
submitted aggregately from a state agency or from individual facilities.
Collaborative research taps the complementary strengths,
objectives, and missions of medical agencies and the world of technology. DI is
proud to be in the forefront of these projects in the trauma arena, and to
continue moving forward, making available interfaces to other medical
registries.
